Heiszler Salon - Ombre, Sombre

Ombre, Sombre

What is actually OMBRE colouring?

With ombre hair colouring, the ends of the hair are lighter than the roots. It is a gradual colouring technique, where the gradual result is achieved by shading. Shading ensures that there is no contrast between the two tones at the hair ends and at the roots, the colour of the hair lightens towards the ends gradually with a natural effect. Why is ombre colouring so popular?

Because you can achieve great results and dramatic changes without colouring the whole length of your hair. It is an ideal choice for those, who wouldn't otherwise opt for colouring, or would like to try a new colour but not by changing it all in one go. With this technique, we only colour the ends of the hair. What types of ombre colourings exist?

Classic ombre

The root is a natural brown shade and the hair end is a lighter shade of this (including blond tones as well). The difference between the roots and the hair ends can be up to 5 shades in colour.

Sombre

Sombre=soft ombre. The difference between the roots and the hair ends is only 1-2 shades. This is a softer and a more natural technique, with a minimal contrast between hair tones.
